Black lightning, Paragraph one

 Black lightning

A police officer turned up the TV in the police station waiting room, and the room went silent as they all listened to the news. 

“The 100, a thriving gang in Freeland fought back at protesters who were trying to win back their streets. Police say two protesters were found dead and four were in critical condition, the gang MUST be stopped.”

Jefferson looked angry, as the principal of Garfield High and a citizen involved with stopping gang violence, another protest turned into violence was incredibly bad news.

I am making a story based on my favorite shows, and this is the first paragraph. I enjoyed making this because I like the story line of the series and I like making things more dramatic. I think I could work using a different variety of words instead of repeating the same words.

Dance poster!!

 In literacy the next fer weeks we got to choose our topic! I chose dance because I love dancing and I want to encourage others to dance! We got to design a poster about our topic and I did this task first because I love designing stuff. 

I got pictures of my favorite crew, the royal family, deleted the background and added it into my poster. I added shapes for the outline and background so it looks like it has more detail.

I think I could do better by adding more stuff around the edges but I think I did pretty good at designing around the pictures. Thank you for reading this!!

Letter to jacinda!

In literacy We have been looking at matariki and what it's all about. One of the compulsory tasks we had to do was writing a letter to Jacinda Ardern to make Matariki a public holiday.

I think I did good at giving reasons why it should be a public holiday.. but I need to work on my punctuation and capital letter. We didn't end up sending the letter's obviously, because we still need some work on writing a formal letter,but anyways...thank you for taking the time to read my blog post!!

Marbled cone snail !

 For literacy we have been doing a strange animal topic, and the task I chose to do was make a sign to warn people about the marbled cone snail. I liked this task because it was simple but it made me think about how a normal sign would look like. I think I could've done better by adding more detail to my sign, but I think I did really good at making a sign that would warn people. Thank you for reading this post

Animal adaptions !! :)

  In literacy our focus is on strange and wonderful animals. One of the many tasks was an attribute organiser which is where we get given animals, and we study their habitat, what they eat, and where in the world you can find them. I liked this task because it didn’t give us normal animals, it gave us bizarre animals! I also learnt a lot of new information about animals that I didn’t even know existed! It was fun and informative. I think I could work on adding a bit more detail to my work, but I think I did pretty good on studying and getting the information.  For our literacy topic, it's all in your mind, there was a task that let us create our own word find. It was pretty frustrating because it took forever to do letter by

letter, but I eventually got it

Label the brain !!

 In literacy we have a topic called It's all in your mind. For one of the tasks we had to label each part of the brain. It Liked it because it wasn't that hard but it wasn't easy enough for a five year old to do it.
